Soon to be MBA graduate, accomplished networker, and aspiring marketing professional experienced in major gift fundraising. Based in Philadelphia, PA.
As the German Philosopher Goethe once said, "Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it." Be bold and follow along my journey as a young professional finding the silver linings of post-pandemic life.
Hear It From Me
My name is Sarah Cardwell and I am from the Philadelphia area. I earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a minor in French from Gettysburg College.
I have been working in higher education, specifically major gift fundraising, for six years. I am also in my last term of the MBA program at Drexel University. I founded this blog to document what it is like to navigate a virtual learning and professional environment. Like everyone else, I have been working remotely and attending class via zoom for over a year. I hope to highlight how I have continued to build my network by nourishing current collegial connections but also how to meaningfully network with new connections. As we adjust to our new normal and start to venture back to the office and classroom, I hope to document silver linings found during the pandemic and how once customary business practices may change.
Outside of work and school, I am the chair of the young alumni board at my alma mater. I like to stay active by running half-marathons and taking Body Pump Classes (thank you Les Mills On Demand for keeping me in shape from home during COVID!). In addition, I enjoy entertaining my friends, walking my bichon frise Margaux, and in the summer can be found beachside in Ocean City, N.J.
